The Challenge of Collaborating with Fashion Brands

The world of fashion has always been a fertile ground for illustrators, and I recently had the opportunity to collaborate with one of the most solid brands in the market: Dockers.

They asked me to design a workshop that would convey the versatility of their garments throughout the day. To achieve this, I created around thirty fashion figurines: on one side, the figures appeared without clothing in unique contexts (a park, the office, a restaurant); on the other, they were dressed in the latest outfits from Dockers’ collections. Participants chose a model and then the outfit they liked best. The idea was simple yet powerful: to show that a single garment can adapt to any unexpected situation during the day.

The challenge in this collaboration was to capture and communicate the brand’s values. As an artist, I had to pay close attention to its color codes, voice, style, and target audience, among other factors, to adapt my illustration style so that the brand and the event felt coherent as a whole.

I was particularly interested in working with Dockers because their identity aligns perfectly with my style. Their youthful, practical, elegant yet relaxed and natural approach matched seamlessly with the economy of my forms, the expressiveness of my figures, and the earthy tones I use.

It was a collaboration I truly enjoyed, feeling that my work contributed to their communication goals. As their slogan says: “Always A Fit.”
